ELF has built an endowment to provide grants from its earnings. 100% of the earning will serve one purpose; to make possible innovative, hands-on learning programs which otherwise would not be funded by local school budgets.
The foundation is autonomous, and thus not subject to influence from any school, any municipal department or any civic group.
Grant applications are reviewed by a volunteer panel to determine our awards, known as Educational Enrichment Grants. Applicants can include faculty, school, community organizations, staff, and parents. Proposals must incorporate an aspect of science, English, mathematics, technology, social sciences, or the arts. Additionally, proposals must support enhanced educational opportunities that would not otherwise be available to our local students.
